The Lung Cancer Screening Program at VA is designed for Veterans age 50 to 80, who smoke cigarettes now or have quit within the last 15 years, and who smoked cigarettes for at least 20 pack-years. 5 out of every 100 people who are screened annually will be diagnosed with lung cancer. Because 3 of those 5 will be diagnosed early, and because early detection saves lives, this video is designed to help you determine if the annual screening program is right for you.
